Tuesday night we had zesty Italian chicken. I didn't make up this recipe. I have found it in various spots on the web, but am not sure who exactly to give credit to.
You need:
1 lb chicken breasts (I used the frozen ones and didn't even de-thaw them)
8 oz cream cheese
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 packet of dry Italian dressing mix
1 cup of water
I made this in the crock pot. First, I put in the frozen chicken breasts. Then, I mixed the cream cheesed with the cream of chicken soup and poured that over the chicken breasts. I mixed the Italian dressing mix and the water and also poured that over the chicken breasts.
I put the crock pot on low. I started the crock pot around 7 that morning and turned it off around 5. The chicken nice and tender and fell apart easily. I served brown rice with it and green beans.
My family liked it. My husband and 3.5 year old ate it. My 2 year old didn't, but she is in a picky phase right now. This is definitely something we will have again as it's super easy for a weeknight dinner.
